One Acts:
- It was suggested that Freeport hosts next years One Acts
- Beth was going to find out is there are other schools that
had more interest or not.
- If PAB takes on hosting duties the group would like to sit
down with Tim to define PAB’s roles & responsibilities
- other concerns regarding One Acts:
- Review practice times students can practice. Check with
FHS handbook and check with the office to see if there are any
restrictions that need to be upheld. It has been noted that practices
run too long both in hours and days of the week htat impact the students school
work
- PAB would like to sit with Tim to offer suggestion on
time management which would help reduce stress levels in students,
directors and parents
Teacher:
Jessica:
- Cabaret was another great event
- 6 choral students will be attending All States at Orono
- Solfege by the Sea is coming together with approximately
11 teachers registered. Jessica will cash the checks once she is
confident the event will fill.
- Discussion at FMS moving the time slot chorus and band
practices from recess to another time slot is still a work in progress
- PAB would support K-2 teacher to attend Solfege event if
she can not solicit funds from other avenues
Tim:
- One Act presentation to be held at Bonny Eagle June 5th.
- Students trying to resurrect the One Act production
David:
- 2 sound trainings have been held
- adults & students have participated
- David and students are practicing using the recording
equipment. The equipment will be used to record concerts and turned in to
CDs for sale or for students to send to schools, etc…
Personal note: Good luck to all the teachers, Senior
students and their parents as you go through this very busy and exciting time.
Hard to believe how fast 4 years can fly by. Tracy
