Hi Everyone! In case you missed the now award winning original One Act play “RED LIST” (written by FHS students Laura Tims & Phil Rogers), you can catch a very special encore performance this Saturday June 5th at Bonny Eagle High School in Standish. FHS students will headline the 1st Annual Maine Young Playwrights Festival, sponsored by the International Thespian Society and the NorthEast Educational Theatre Association (http://www.northeastedta.org). Ten schools from all over the state have submitted plays to be performed in various ways from staged script readings to full fledged productions such as ours. This is not a competition but a showcase of student playwrights from around the state. When we were invited to perform at this event last January we were told by the festival organizers that they were inspired to create this event due to our appearance at the New England One Act Drama Festival in 2008 and the interest it generated in Student Written plays at the different schools throughout the state. So as you can imagine we found it impossible to say no. Four of our seniors (Kate Breau, Laura Tims, Ian Morency and Meagan Gibson) have graciously interrupted their graduation weekend & planning to make our special appearance possible. Admission is $5 Adults & $3 Students/Seniors. We are currently scheduled to perform last at 8:45pm. Our show runs approx. 40 minutes. Below is a schedule for the entire event. Hope to see you there!
