  1. Annually establish a Scholarship Committee and name a Chairperson by June of each year whose purpose is to:
  1. By March of each year, establish a five person reading committee.

Note: Parents may not sit on the reading committee if their student has submitted a scholarship application or if an application has been submitted nominating their student for scholarship.

3) Annual Awards:

Three $200 Senior Scholarships representing

These are to be merit based and funds given to the student

Three $100 High School Scholarships

These are to be "talent" based and for a specific purpose. Funds dispersed to the "third party" recipient – meaning if the money is for music lessons, funds would be paid to the instructor; deposit for summer camp, funds dispersed to the camp; etc.

Three $75 Middle School Scholarships

These are to be "talent" based and for a specific purpose. Funds dispersed to the "third party" recipient – meaning if the money is for music lessons, funds would be paid to the instructor; deposit for summer camp, funds dispersed to the camp; etc.

In the event sufficient funds are not available, we recommend the number of scholarships remain the same and adjust the dollar amount of the scholarship awards. In the event surplus funds are available award amounts may be increased with focus being on Senior Scholarships.

In establishing Scholarship awards, discretion should be used so not to totally deplete the Scholarship Fund. The goal is to leave some funds to grow and (long-term goal) build a self-generating fund.

NOTE: In addition to the student submitting an application, any PAB member may nominate a student for scholarship by submitting the appropriate application and letter.
